I REALLY feel like a mom now!!

Well we did it! We took the leap and bought a mini-van. I love it! ( I know I shouldn't say love about objects, but well... I guess I like it A LOT!) We bought a silver, 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan, with my favorite feature, quad seat and STOW and GO! I learned to drive in a minivan so I've always liked them. Since I'm short its hard to see everything when I'm driving in my little red car so I like to be a little higher up on the road.
I know we probably didn't "need" it, but we had saved and it will be really nice to have for our long trips to visit family and to transport people and things for church. Plus we'd like to have more kids eventually so we'll be ready for them!
We got a pretty good deal I think and we sold our red cavalier only 4 days after buying the van. So we're pretty excited that it is all working out. I posted pictures below. They are only of the van, I did not get any of Landon in his car seat as some are requesting. However I will say that I think he likes the van, because he can see himself in his little mirror that allows us to see him when he's facing backwards and I think he can see out the window better too, which is great because he loves to watch cars and trucks.

Landon's First Friend

Today we had some good friends from church over for hamburgers. They have 3 boys who are very special to us as they were some of the first kids at our church. Their youngest is 6 weeks younger than Landon. I call their youngest son Landon's first friend! His mom and I are hoping they will grow up to be best buds. We've been wanting to get a picture of the two of them for awhile, and we finally did it tonight.
Unfortunately I found out something about my sweet little son tonight when I was trying to take a picture of him and his friend. Landon is a bully. As soon as we set the boys down together Landon grabbed his friend's ear and made him cry and he wouldn't stop. We got the other little boy happy again and set him down and Landon did it again. So Darin had to come over and hold Landon's hands down. Luckily Landon got preoccupied and started playing w/ his feet so I got a decent picture.
I learned two lessons tonight. One my 6 month old is a bully! The second was next time we try to take a picture we will not have them within arms reach of each other!!

The bully trying to grab the ear...

Poor little buddy, we didn't know Landon was a bully!

A better picture w/ daddy restraining the ear grabber!
(I think it would be really cute to keep taking their pictures in this chair as they get bigger, however I'm hoping we won't have this chair for too much longer...)

I guess I'll just grab my foot and stuck on it instead!

Visit with Grandmommy and Granddaddy

My parents came to visit this week. It was really nice to spend time with them. We don't get to see them very much because they live 13 hours away. I love getting to spend time with my mom and dad but now I really love to watch how they interact w/ Landon. They love him so much! I enjoy seeing how much they enjoy getting to be grandparents. Hope you enjoy the pictures of their visit.

I'll be standing up on my own before you know it.

I tried really hard to get Grandaddy's shoe untied!

Loving on Grandmommy!

One of my favorite pictures... I still think my mom is so beautiful!

Landon's Here!- December 9, 2008

The next few posts are catching you up on Landon's life. I guess I kind of did it backwards, but if you scroll down through the next 6 posts it will take you from his arrival till 5 months. 6 month pictures will be coming soon. Go all the way to the first two posts if you want to hear more about Mommy and Daddy and see pictures of us (yeah right, we all know it's all about Landon!) My first post also explains my cheesy title!

He says: "NO!!!! Put me back in!!!!!"
Mommy replies: "Don't even think about it!"
